"The title of this book, is EIGHT REALES AND PESOS OF THE NEW WORLD". "Peso" is the word used the most often by Latin Americans to denote silver coins 36mm and over. The book, therefore, covers such things as Brazilian 960 Reis and Ecuadorian Sucres. It does not cover the small (often copper-nickel) modern coins known als peso.
